(From the beginning) I've decided to accompany my mother to the phone shop in Geylang where she bought her new phone. We were there around 10am waiting for the salesman as he was late. When he arrived, he took forever and was unable to deliver the what he promised my mother initially (which was to transfer all data to the new phone). Yet, he refused to compromise and wanted my mother to purchase her old phone just to retrieve her data. He suggested she stays in the shop and take down the details one by one which I found ridiculous. I noticed that he's inadequate skills result in a significant amount of time lost. Moreover, he was caught up fulfilling other customer's request even though he had other co-workers around which delayed even more time.  My mother had to rush him a couple of times but it didn't help much. She shared that it was the exact same situation during her last few visits. Time passed .... it was 2pm and we were waiting for 4 hours straight in the shop watching him serve other customers all these time.

I was getting annoyed but I knew that screaming at him would do nothing to help our situation. He had the upper hand, he could just refuse to do anything and my mother wouldn't get her data. Therefore, both of us held it in. I was surprised that I could still keep my composure and didn't vent my frustration out on my mother. Maybe, I knew that she wasn't the instigator but so I just told her "I need some space now" when she tried to make small talks with me.

Finally, I signalled to my mother that I wanted to leave this place. At that time, the sale person at that time still wasn't done but he said we could try it again because it was some server issue. Thus, we left the place with an unfix phone. The only remuneration the guy provide was a free phone cover which we didn't demand or ask for. We would prefer more efficient service over some sort of a "peace offering". I was beyond pissed at this point thus I've decided to post this in light of the event to help other people who are considering to engage in their service.

Another side note, this shop doesn't provide name cards or company number which I can't fathom for an established company that has been around since Feb 2014. It shows a lot so proceed with caution.
